In an announcement on their website today, Comcept and Inti Creates have given their upcoming game, Mighty No. 9, a release date of September 15th in the US, and September 18th everywhere else. This is a delay from the original projected spring release, but with the added promise of a partnership with Deep Silver, known for Dead Island and Saints Row. This partnership allows them to add more features to the already highly-anticipated platformer, as detailed in their news post:

If you haven’t yet heard of Mighty No. 9, it’s a Kickstarter-backed spiritual successor to the MegaMan games. It features an android named Beck (and his partner, Call) who is number 9 in a series of androids and must face the other 8 units, who have gone rogue due to a computer virus. It’s a platformer with similar mechanics to a typical MegaMan game, with eight levels you can tackle in any order and with new skills unlockable as you progress.

Mighty No. 9 has been incredibly popular since its introduction on Kickstarter, and was fully funded within two days, allowing the development team plenty of time to work on stretch goals. It will be released on just about every system you can imagine: Windows, Linux, Nintendo 3DS, OS X, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. As detailed above, the three consoles will receive physical releases in stores, while the rest will be downloadable.
