Heroes of the Dormis crowning its winning team of students tonight in Los Angeles at the Shrine Auditorium. The semi-finals, dubbed the “Heroic Four”, are being televised on ESPN3, but can also be viewed onlinehere.
Match 1: Arizona State Boston College: 2:30 p.m. Pacific / 5:30 p.m. Eastern
Match 2: Illinois Urbana-Champaign Cal Berkeley: 4:30 p.m. Pacific / 7:30 p.m. Eastern
Grand Final:6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Pacific / 9:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. Eastern
The Heroic Four are Boston College (Boston Eagles), Arizona State (Dream Team), Illinois Urbana-Champaign (Mad Banners), and UC Berkeley (Golden Bears). Teams are competing for both glory and college tuition, so the stakes are high. The first match is Boston College (Boston Eagles) vs Arizona State (Dream Team).
You can view the Heroic Four for free online, but once the Grand Finals begin later tonight it switches to ESPN2, meaning you’ll need a cable subscription to view online, via the ESPN app, or on TV.
Heroes of the Stormis a MOBA that pits teams of five against each other using heroes from Blizzard’s other franchises: Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo. Besides utilizing Blizzard’s rich IP, it distinguishes itself in the crowded MOBA market by focusing on team-based objectives. The game is set to launch June 2, 2015.
