Yes, according to today’s

Nintendo Direct

, the long-awaited Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem game still exists, and it’s coming…sometime. Nintendo and Atlus are collaborating on this crossover project that was announced back in January of 2013. The RPG is a mix between real, modern life and a fantasy world in which the Fire Emblem characters exist, and the trailer looks great. It contains a mixture of actual gameplay and anime cutscenes. Take a look:

Unfortunately, we still don’t have a release date. Bill Trinen just says to “stay tuned for more information on this title in the future.” So don’t get your hopes up too high. With not even a window, it’s likely we still won’t see this until next year at the soonest. Of course, there’s still the chance that it might show up at E3, along with more information about how the game will work or when we’ll get to see it, but for now, fans of both franchises are in only a slightly better place than they were before this news.
