More Danganronpa Coming To PS Vita In America, Europe
It looks like yet another episode of Danganronpa adventures are coming over to North America. Literally; Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls will be coming over to the PS Vita later this year. It was announced by NIS America in a press event, as relayed by Siliconera.
What separates this Danganronpa release from the others its that it plays more like a horror action-adventure game, rather than that of a visual novel. Taking place between the events of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, players take on the role of Komaru Naegi as she tries to escape “a mysterious apartment” that has trapped her there for over a year. Your weapon of choice acts like a cross between a megaphone and an R2-D2 utility hacking device, one that lets you interact with objects.

Even though it’s yet another Japanese import coming to the PS Vita, it’s great to see a high-profile series continue to come over to North America. The two Danganronpa North American releases last year truly solidified a cult-like following here, even showing up in some high-profile Game of the Year lists in 2014. It’s not like a new entry will single-handedly bring prosperity to the PS Vita, but the more quality titles that grace the platform, the better.
Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls is already available on the PS Vita over in Japan, but is planned for a North American and European release in the fall later this year. You can check out the game’s announcement trailer below.
