Conan Plays Assassin’s Creed Unity, Questions Accent Usage
As long as Conan O’Brien continues to stay unwaveringly funny, him playing video games with off-the-cuff commentary on them will stay brilliant. History repeats itself once again, as just a week after playing

Any time there’s anything just slightly off about Assassin’s Creed Unity and its logic, Conan is there to make a brilliant snipe about it. For example (Spoiler Alert), when we learn about protagonist Arno’s deceased father and adoptive father, it just makes sense for him to warn others not to adopt this seemingly-cursed child. Also, as someone who uses accents for comedic effect on his show, it seems fairly odd that all these French people, living in France, have English accents.
Having not played Assassin’s Creed Unity myself, but armed with the knowledge that Conan has a very low amount of skill when it comes to games, it’s funny to see him do well in the game’s combat scenes against numerous foes surrounding him. At first glance, one could easily reflect upon how easy the combat mechanics themselves are to new gamers, who can get away with mashing attacks in early stages of the game. Combat repetitiveness is something that I have found tiresome over previous Assassin’s Creed games, especially in Black Flag when contrasting how awesome it is to sail around and perform naval combat.
Assassin’s Creed Unity is out right now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. However, professional reviews are embargoed until 12 PM EST; 12 hours after the game has been released to the public.
