Guy Recreates Halo Theme By Himself In Stairwell

Not sure how it took me this long to find online (likely due to Evo 2014 hype) , but I’m glad I did. Someone on Youtube found the perfect stairwell, one that helped form the perfect reverb and was isolated enough, to recreate the famous melodic hymn from the Halo theme song.

It may not be a perfect representation, but this young man from Sonoma County, California (near Sacremento, California) saw an opportunity to do something pretty cool that many would have only the urge to do and captured it, instead of letting it slip. Plus, it was one person doing what multiple people were hired to do for Bungie and Martin O’Donnell, composer of the Halo soundtracks for games 1, 2, 3, ODST and Reach. I’d say he gave it a pretty good effort, with all things considered!

Hopefully this will spur a mini-trend of fans recreating game soundtrack themes with ominous sounds. For now, let’s just appreciate the Halo theme recreation for what it is; something that’s pretty cool to watch that’s only 34 seconds long.
