WWE Commentator Jim Ross Calls Video Games With Style
I’m not a wrestling fan, but I do know of the unmistakable commentating prowess that comes from WWE Hall of Fame inductee Jim Ross. It was just a matter of time a fan that lives within both circles of the video games/wrestling Venn Diagram took the explosive and animated play calling of Jim Ross and dubbed it over video game action, and the result is a laugh-out-loud riot.

While it’s great to see what shoutcasters like djWHEAT bring the excitement when it comes to competitive gaming, as well as a real sense of legitimacy within live-action, 3rd-party gaming commentary, there’s nobody in the business like Good Ol’ JR to bring the hype and the excitement up to unstoppable levels. That’s why it just makes sense to superimpose audio clips of Jim Ross over memorable gaming moments, like the long ladder sequence in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, or the “levelution” of the Battlefield 4 building from the E3 2013 gameplay footage during EA’s press conference.
Even if you are not a fan of wrestling at all, but do understand its basic tenets, you still can’t help but laugh, so make sure to check out the video at the top of the page. He may not be working actively in the WWE as a commentator anymore, but the greatness of the voice that is Jim Ross should be appreciated for years to come.
