Remember, Remember, Nintendo Direct On Fifth Of November

In keeping tradition with happening-tomorrow announcements, Nintendo revealed today in a press release that they will be holding a Nintendo Direct on Wednesday, November 5th. It will begin at 5 PM EST/2 PM PST and will cover upcoming games for the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U. What titles will be covered is unknown at this time, however we can make some educated guesses.

More from 3DS

For example, Mario Kart 8 and Hyrule Warriors are expected to release DLC in November, meaning that we’re likely to see them make an appearance during the Nintendo Direct. I mean, Link’s Hylean motorbike and the Excitebike track aren’t likely to be the only things we know about the MK 8 DLC before its release! Furthermore, Sayora Saga, writer on former Xenoblade games, retweeted the Nintendo of Europe announcement of the Nintendo Direct (thanks, BY2k). She had previously promoted Nintendo Direct events that featured Xenoblade Chronicles X or Xenoblade characters, meaning that we can venture the new Xenoblade game may make an appearance.

Other than that, one should expect updates on games coming up within the next month. That means likely more looks at Pokemon ORAS, Super Smash Bros for Wii U, both Sonic Boom titles, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and NES Remix. Plus, with holiday sales right around the corner, I wouldn’t be surprised to see some new Wii U and 3DS game announcements in order to entice more sales of these gaming platforms.
