When you think of Call of Duty, what are some of the first things that come to mind? Guns? Explosions? Taytor Kitsch in exoskeletal military garb? If those ideas ran through your head when posed that question, the recent Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare live action trailer may prove to fulfill your dreams of the perfect promotional video.

Debuting on Thursday Night Football earlier last night, there’s not much more we know about the popular FPS title. What we do know is that Activision will continue to push the Call of Duty series into the forefront with big-money TV advertising slots, hopefully to bore through to the other side of slumping pre-order sales.

The Call of Duty video, furthermore, has all the tropes of a Michael Bay film. Think about it for a second: it features a brunette action hero known to act in cheesy material (see: Battleship, John Carter). The middle of the firefight inexplicably features an attractive model (Emily Ratajkowski) appear solely for the purpose off checking off the “attractive female in action media” box. Heroes operating fast vehicles, explosions, gunfire; everything that the people at Activision think Call of Duty fans care most about are included in the above video.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be released on November 4th on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360. Pre-ordering the newest entry can get you access to the Day Zero edition, allowing you to pick up the game a day earlier on November 3rd.
