Check Out Your Wraith Powers In New Shadows Of Mordor Trailer

ByEric Chrisman|

I think few games have had the slow build from “eh, who cares” to one of the most intriguing games of the year likeShadows of Mordor. I’m pretty much a sucker for any kind of fantasy action game, but I think upon first reveal, like most my reaction was that it’s at best a poorBatmanknockoff with aLord of The Ringslicense attached.

And that reaction might have been very justified, given thatShadows of Mordorstarted life as aBatmangame based in the NolanBatmanuniverse. However, as time has gone on and more has been revealed about the game and how it’s various systems work along with people having gotten to play the game and give their reactions from shows like E3,Shadows of Mordoris proving itself to really be its own unique thing and arguably the most unique and originalLord of The Ringsgame to date.

The latest trailer for the game helps explain how your various Wraith powers work, and shows that you’ll need a variety of strategies to overcome your adversaries. As I stated before,Shadows of Mordorhas become one of my most anticipated titles of 2014, which is quite a turnaround from my initial reaction to the game. Check out the new trailer below:

Get ready to kill a whole lot of orcs in many different ways whenShadows of Mordorhits shelves September 30 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, followed on October 2 by the PC version (via Steam).
