The Last Of Us Remastered On PS4 Coming With Bonus Features
It’s not just the standard game that’s coming to The Last of Us Remastered, as several of advanced previews have been released by several publications detailing some of the lesser-known bonus features coming to the PS4 port of one of 2013’s greatest games.

First off, Eurogamer noted that The Last of Us Remastered will allow users to lock the framerate at 30 FPS, as opposed to the marketed 60 FPS. This may be an indicator that there will be at least occassional frame drops, but Naughty Dog programmer Corrine Yu stated on Twitter that users shouldn’t feel dips in either single or multiplayer. Polygon‘s recount revealed that certain sounds will play through the DualShock 4, including audio logs. Furthermore, the light bar on the controller will also flash and change colors when you take damage.
Back to Eurogamer, it appears that The Last Of Us Remastered will not offer PS3 owners an upgrade discount. However, with all previously-released add-on content, including the prequel story DLC “Left Behind,” I’d argue that it’s a fair price. Whether this remaster is so close to release in conjunction with the original PS3 version is up to debate, but with so many PS4 owners coming from users who did not own Sony’s previous console, it serves as a great way to bridge the gap between console-exclusive content until we get to the long-awaited floodgates to open in 2015 and beyond.
The Last of Us Remastered is coming exclusively to the PS4 on July 29.
