Evo 2014: Garireo Is Your BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Grand Finals Winner

What an amazing finish! Starting off the day of constant Evo 2014 Finals play, Garireo and his Litchi has won the BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma grand finals! The victory comes over the defeat of Azrael-using Dogura, as more than 80,800 concurrent viewers at peak Twitch numbers were on hand to witness the excellent 3-2 bracket-resetting Match 1 win by Garireo, followed by the ultimate 3-2 win by Garireo that came down to the final set after Garireo was down 2 sets to 0 before winning 3 straight sets. It will probably be the best Grand Finals event of the day!

Garireo ends up with more than $23,000 in earnings ($3,048 from base pot, $15,000 from pot bonus from Arc System and Aksys Games combined, $5,000 winner’s bonus from Aksys Games) and has won a guaranteed entry into the Arc Revolution Cup 2014 in August. Better yet, he can also bring another player of his choosing to the event along with him.

The top ranking American BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasm player, SG, was eliminated early, but will also earn $5,000 from Aksys Games and bring a friend to automatically qualify for the Arc Revolution Cup 2014, as well. The player that knocked SG out, Dora_Bang, made it all the way to the Loser’s Finals before being eliminated himself in a gripping 3-2 match with eventual winner Garireo.
