E3 2014: Destiny To Launch As PS4 Timed Exclusive And In White PS4 Bundle
By Nick Tylwalk
Sony’s 2014 E3 press briefing kicked off with a date with Destiny.
The footage was the most we’ve seen of Bungie’s sci-fi shooter to date, but the big news was that the game will be a timed exclusive, playable only on PS4 to start. It will head into alpha later this week and to beta on July 17.

On top of that, Destiny will be available in a bundle with a white PS4 on the game’s launch date of September 9. The footage shown at the presser didn’t showcase much (okay, any) of the much-hyped open-world aspects, but it did include plenty of action and frame the conflict between the Guardians and an ancient darkness coming back to reclaim the Earth.
Again though, the coup was Sony getting Destiny as a timed exclusive. That should be a definite feather in the PS4’s cap come September.
