Most of the new features of Tales of Xillia 2 sound really cool and some of the biggest changes to the Tales series yet. One new big feature is a choice system (though as Gametrailers points out, it’s not completely clear yet if the choices amount to anything of importance), which could add replay value for seeing the different outcomes for different choices. Also new to the Tales series is the protagonists ability to change from a choice of several weapon sets on the fly, which might open up a whole lot of new battle tactics and keep the battles (which admittedly have changed very little over time) feeling fresh.
We have just over two short weeks until Tales of Xillia 2 hits store shelves on August 19th. It should be a nice long rpg to tide me over until the slew of fall releases start pouring in. Check out Gametrailers preview and impressions on the first 8 hours below:
