Undisputed is almost here, and I am feeling the hype. We used to get great boxing games regularly. Nowadays I have to get my boxing fix from WWE 2K24, which includes Muhammad Ali. This title really looks like something I can get into. Here are the seven highest-rated fighters in the game:

• Muhammad Ali - 93 (Heavyweight)
• Sugar Ray Robinson - 91 (Middleweight, Welterweight, Lightweight)
• Terence Crawford - 91 (Welterweight, Lightweight)
• Sugar Ray Leonard - 91 (Welterweight)
• Katie Taylor - 91 (Women's Lightweight, Women's Welterweight)
• Vasili Lomachenko - 90 (Lightweight, Featherweight)
• Canelo Alvarez - 90 (Lightweight, Middleweight, Welterweight)
• Joe Calzaghe - 90 (Light Heavyweight, Middleweight)

You probably noticed the different weight classes. You'll be able to use a fighter in any class they ever competed in, adding even more variety to what is shaping up to be an outstanding combatsports game. Developer Steel City Interactive has included player feedback from its beta, including some overhauls to punches that didn't feel quite weighty enough.

Here's a new trailer that unveils some features I'm excited about:

The ratings, at least for now, only go up to a 93. This is a fair way to do it. Everybody, even Muhammad Ali, had some weaknesses that opponents were able to take advantage of in the rare moments he lost fights. I wonder if your created character can get to 99 in career mode?

Undisputed releases Oct. 11 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
