WWE 2K16 is headed to the PC with an official release date of March 11, 2016. All DLC content will be included free of charge.

After the success of last year’s long-awaited PC debut for the yearly WWE 2K series, it comes as no surprise that WWE 2K16 will be laying the smackdown on the Steam platform once again. Set for a March 11, 2016 release date with a price of $49.99, the game will “largely mirror” the current Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions. As an added extra, all DLC will be available for free.

Fortunately for PC users, there’s quite a lot of DLC content. Players will gain access to two variations of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s famous T-800 character from the Terminator films, a brand-new Hall Of Fame Showcase feature, a variety of new moves and over ten additional Superstars and Divas.

One of the added bonuses of WWE 2K16’s PC release is the potential for modding. Last year’s game was heavily modified by a dedicated community of fans, and with even more tools at their disposal this year including the return of Create-An-Arena, it’ll be interesting to see what the community is able to come up with.

Although WWE 2K15 wasn’t received too well by critics, PC fans were generally grateful that they were able to get their hands on a major wrestling title for the first time since 2002’s WWE Raw. WWE 2K16 provides them with an opportunity to experience once of the best wrestling games in recent memory, thanks to an increased set of features, enhanced gameplay and a a gigantic roster.

Above all, it’s great to see that wrestling games finally appear to have a home on PC after such a long absence. Will you be picking up the game when it’s released? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
