Dallas Stars
The Stars had an excellent year, finishing with 50 wins and landing in third place in this tough division. Jamie Benn was one of the star players in the NHL, finishing on a massive 94 points and taking home the Hart Memorial Trophy and the Ted Lindsay Award in the process. Tyler Seguin was the top goalscorer for Dallas with 37 goals for the season.
Patrick Sharp had an excellent first season in Dallas, finishing the season on 65 points. In defense, it was Alex Goligoski who led the charge with 51 points, while the addition of Johnny Oduya added an extra level of depth.
Antti Niemi and Kari Lehtonen shared goaltending duties, with neither particularly outshining the other, as both finished with an average of around 2.38 GAA and .920 SV% between them.
The Stars finally looked ready to mount a serious cup run as they pushed forward into the playoffs.
