Forza 6 Announced, New Ford GT To Grace The Cover

With a new Forza game being released once every year since 2011, it was just a matter of time before a new title in the series would be announced. That time is now, as the Ford Motor Company, of all sources, has formally announced Forza Motorsport 6. The new Ford GT 2015 has been selected as the cover vehicle for this year’s iteration of the popular Xbox racing series.

More from News

As is now custom for the Motorsport series, Forza 6 will be released exclusively on the Xbox One, with Turn 10 Studios acting as developer once again. Additional Ford vehicles include the Shelby GT350 Mustang and F-150 Raptor, which made their first appearance earlier today at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan. Additional details about the game are not available at this time, but gameplay will be available during E3 2015 in June.

Whether or not you’re a fan of the continued annualization of the racing genre, Microsoft and Ford teaming up for the Forza Motorsport 6 announcement does carry certain connotations with it. How far the partnership extends beyond a dual announcement for both the Ford GT and Forza 6 itself is yet to be seen. Hopefully, any marketing deals brokered in this announcement can replace microtransactions from the future title. A man can dream!
