UPDATE: In a quick update from the Telltale Games Twitter account, they have acknowledged that the PS3 release dates of Game of Thrones are on December 9th, with the Android version release forthcoming.

ORIGINAL: If you wanted to know exactly when Telltale Games’ Game of Thrones series begins, well the company themselves have offered up a wonderful Thanksgiving present. Episode 1, Iron From Ice, will be released on the PC, Mac and PS4 (in North America) on December 2nd. The Xbox One and Xbox 360, plus PS4 owners in Europe will receive the game on December 3rd. Finally, iOS users can expect the debut episode on December 4th.

More from News

In previous updates leading up to this announcement, we could see that the PS3 is included in the list of supported platforms for Game of Thrones. Yet, a release date for either North America or Europe has not been announced at this time. What makes it more odd is that the Xbox brand will receive the first Game of Thrones episode at the same time, meaning that there must be some sort of hitch delaying the PS3 version’s release at the moment. Seeing how the console versions of The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us suffer from long loading times and sketchy framerates, hopefully the delay is not technologically related.
