Perennial GOTY Hatoful Boyfriend Coming To PS4, PS Vita
The most important game to be released this year, in Hatoful Boyfriend, will spread its wings and fly towards the PS4 and PS Vita family next year. That’s right, according to the PlayStation Blog, the pigeon high school visual novel Hatoful Boyfriend will be released on those platforms in 2015.

For those who are unaware about this gut-wrenching romantic story game, Hatoful Boyfriend places you as a human student at St. PigeoNation’s Institute for talented birds. Between classes, you can engage with the pigeons, fall in love and develop deep friendships with your bird patrons. It’s not all gumdrops and heartstrings, however, as pigeon punks and “dark avian conspiracies” await behind closed doors, impeding your progress. Choose your actions wisely in order to both thrive and survive in what will “easily” be the Game of the Year, every single year.
In all seriousness, it’s great to see the PlayStation family embrace the oddity of a visual novel parody involving the birds of Hatoful Boyfriend. It may play as the joke that everyone’s in on, but there’s an underdeveloped gaming field in comedy that could be tapped beautifully within the Indie gaming market. Any game that thinks outside the box and actually involves interactivity is great to see.
Hatoful Boyfriend is available on Steam now, and will be heading to the PS4 and PS Vita next year.
