Another dev is chiming in on the whole debate about resolution. Far Cry 4‘s creative director Alex Hutchinson has said resolution really doesn’t matter to him.

"With the 4K TVs and things – somebody was telling me that with a 4K TV, to even see it, your living room has to be big enough to sit like 12 feet from the screen. I don’t know the exact numbers, but it starts to get a little crazy. I’m just in it for the experience, I’ll play a SNES game if it’s cool"
Hutchinson went on to say that he believes people only ask about resolution these days because of the belief that one version is being held back.
It should be noted that Far Cry 4 will be in 1080p on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC when it comes out for those systems as well as PS3 & 360 on November 18th. I don’t think that makes Hutchinson’s claim any less valid though. Worry less about how many Ps or frames per second a game is and just whether it’s good.
