MGS 5: The Phantom Pain Coming Out In 2015
During a stage presentation during TGS 2014, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain game director Hideo Kojima announced that the game will be coming out in 2015. With a Japanese audience in hand, as well as a lack of understanding of the Japanese language, thankfully there are speakers of English and Japanese in attendance who could confirm the news to their followers.

Additionally, a new story trailer for The Phantom Pain was released in Japanese, with JunkerHQ providing a brief synopsis on their Twitter account. SPOILER ALERT!
Essentially, Big Boss was saved by Quiet in the events leading up to the video, and makes quite an entrance to the soldiers on Mother Base. Ocelot wants her jailed, while Miller wants her killed, as she knows the location of the Diamond Dogs’ HQ. Big Boss insists that she’ll be killed eventually if she steps out of line, and that he’ll be the one to do it himself, if push comes to shove.
Honestly, when it was announced that The Phantom Pain was to be hundreds of times bigger than Ground Zeroes in terms of space, I thought that the game would be released in Early 2016. Considering that Phantom Pain will be released on 5 different platforms, including on Steam, hearing a 2015 release window is music to the ears of the stealth gaming series’ fans.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will seemingly be released in 2015, while the precursor in Ground Zeroes is available now.
