Bayonetta 2 Trailer Released, Capping Off Nintendo Direct
To close off their most recent Nintendo Direct event, Nintendo and Platinum Games have revealed a new Bayonetta 2 trailer for the character action game.

Titled “The Time Has Come,” the new Bayonetta 2 trailer combines gameplay footage and story. Bayonetta’s quest is to scrape through the limits of heaven and hell (Paradiso and Inferno) to save her best friend, Jeanne, whose soul is at risk. Facing off against a horde of angels and demons, she must use her umbran witch powers to pull off extensive combos, deal tons of damage and utilize demon summons in order to conquer foes.
The Masked Lumen is also showcased, always tailing the titular protagonist. They are just one of the many foes Bayonetta must combat in Bayonetta 2, a game that utilizes extensive combat maneuvers with expert dodges in order to build up magic meter. Fun fact; the narrator’s voice is that of Rodin from the original game, who was voiced by Dave Fennoy, who plays Lee Everett in The Walking Dead! Considering the original game launched in 2009, it’s great to see him back in this new entry.
Bayonetta 2 will be released exclusively on the Wii U this October 24th here in North America. Buying the game physically will net you a copy of the original Bayonetta game, and downloading each title on the eShop will see a price reduction to a $59.98 total within the initial launch period of each game.
