Your Destiny Beta Progress Will Not Transfer
Well hope you didn’t invest too much time in that Destiny beta. Bungie had previously suggested that characters from the beta might transfer to the full game (though they were very clear that it was a big “maybe”), but Bungie has posted an update that clarifies that in fact characters from the Destiny beta will not transfer to the full game. They have also “cleaned out the vaults”.

Bungie designer Tyson Green had this to say:
"Since the beta, we’ve continued to tune and adjust the game. The way you earn experience has been adjusted up and down a bunch of times. Items have been added and removed. New features toggled. Although there’s no single monumental change, the sum of the tweaks leaves characters from the beta build in strange shape that would be confusing at best, broken at worst."
This isn’t really a huge surprise, but it makes me glad after spending hours on the Destiny alpha, I only played a little of the beta. Still really excited for the game, but having to fight aliens on Old Russia for a third time before being able to move on to other locales would be getting old.
