Sony Struggling To Keep Up With Demand For Vita
The Vita has been considered more or less a dead console. The last couple years at E3, it’s barely gotten a passing mention, and Sony has all but declared any AAA games for it not worth the effort, saying they would focus on streaming and indies to market the Vita.

But low and behold, the Vita suddenly cannot be found anywhere. Has it been discontinued? No, quite the opposite in fact, Sony’s handheld has suddenly been selling so well that Sony is struggling to keep up with demand.
"We’re seeing healthy consumer demand for PS Vita globally, particularly in markets like Japan. The U.S. launch of the slimmer and lighter PS Vita has generated strong interest among gamers, and we’re working to replenish supply here to ensure continued momentum leading into the holidays."
Now, there is no hard sales data and the Vita has not been selling well for awhile, so it’s hard to say how much is actually selling and if this is just something that caught Sony off guard, but a console selling out at pretty much every retailer is always great news. The Vita is alive people!
