Everyone’s favorite cops-and-robbers game that focuses on the “robbing” aspects (instead of a balanced approach with Battlefield Hardline), Payday 2, will receive an 8th-gen adaptation. Payday 2: Crimewave Edition will be coming to the PS4 and Xbox One in the future, with no definite release date provided, as announced by the developers at Overkill Software and publishers 505 Games.

Cited as featuring “enhanced features and a stash of new bonus content,” Payday 2: Crimewave Edition will hopefully include either the free and/or paid bonus content that have come to the Steam, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.
It will be interesting to see whether or not these ports will incorporate new aspects of the peripherals and accessories that come with the PS4 and Xbox One. A SmartGlass option for the Xbox One would be perfect for use as an overworld map, and the DualShock 4 color bar could definitely be used to birth some creative heist-sensitive coloring options.
