E3 2014: Abzu Announced, Making PS4 Console Debut

Continuing the trend of PSN content, Sony announced Giant Squid’s very own Abzu, coming first to PS4. It will be the first title from Giant Squid, partnering with 505 Games to bring the adventure game to life, with the trailer being released during the E3 2014 Sony Press Conference.

Little is known about Abzu, but it does seem to be about exploring the deep blue ocean depths in a grand adventure. With music composed by Austin Wintory, I’m sure players can expect the same vibe of simplistic and wonderous exploration that Journey provided players on the PS3.

Abzu will be coming to the PS4, but not likely as an exclusive. The wording of the announcement tends to make me believe it will also be coming to PC, or will at least be exclusive on consoles to the PS4.
