Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Goes To The Moon Oct. 17th
You know what month isn’t packed with enough games yet? That’s right, October! Game publishers realize there are other months is in the year, right? Well add another game to the pile as Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel coming out for the Xbox 360, PS3 & PC on October 17th.

If you pre-order Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, you will receive some bonus content in the form of The Shock Drop Slaughter Pit add-on, in which gamers will gather loot in a former Dahl facility on Pandora’s moon for TR4-NU. TR4-NU is a new character for the Borderlands universe. He was a military recruiter, but snapped at some point.
2K Australia’s Tony Lawrence released a brief statement alongside the release date announcement:
"“We can’t wait for fans to play as Athena, Wilhelm, Nisha and Claptrap and experience the new low-gravity gunplay with awesome new guns”"
What will be interesting to see is how well a Borderlands game that isn’t a full-fledged sequel will perform. We’ve seen prequels to franchises like God of War and Gears of War come out and receive a pretty lukewarm response. Add that in to an already jam packed October full of huge games and even a big release like Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel might get lost in the shuffle. Check out the new trailer below:
