Sniper Elite V2was one of the more intriguing titles to come out in the past few years, mainly because it is a shooter that lives and breathes in World War II, a point in history that has been covered to death in gaming generations past. However, its X-ray-esque killcams that follow bullets from the pull of the trigger right through past the point of fleshy impact, it brings excitement and literal visceral goriness as a unique aspect that others don’t often share. Plus, with the sequel inSniper Elite IIIcoming shortly after E3 2014, it’s smart for Rebellion to hand out the pre-cursor to get the game mechanics fresh into the minds of Steam users. It’s an excellent marketing tactic that may help to generate further interest in the brand.
Sniper Elite V2is available for downloadright now on Steamuntil tomorrow afternoon.
