Lots ofgreat JRPG news for Vita owners today, and here’s hopefully more: according to IGN, Gamestop has a listing for the Vita port of the DS title,Tales of Heartswhich is titledTales of Hearts R.
Tales of Hearts Rfeatures two new party members, fully voiced dialogue, additional skits and new events in the main storyline. It also features enhanced 3D graphics and a new focus on jumping and aerial battling in the fights.
If this is indeed true, along with all the other titles confirmed for Western release, any RPG fan should seriously consider picking up a Vita if they don’t already own one. Seriously, if you are an RPG fan, you should own one anyway; the library between Vita, PSP and PSone classic RPGs is mind-boggling.
This will make 2014 a pretty full year forTalesfans if true asTales of Symphonia Chronicleswas just recently released andTales of Xillia 2as well asTales of Zestiriaare all due out sometime this year.
Is thisTalesoverload? While I am admittedly a huge fan of theTalesseries, four entries seems like a bit of overkill. Although admittedly off the top of my head I can’t really think of many other RPGs I’m really psyched about coming out this year, so maybe I’ll just take my fix any way I can. With this huge push on older systems though, it makes me wonder even more when we are going to start getting a steady flow of RPGs on the PS4 and the Xbox One. Hopefully with the majority of these titles coming to PS3, thatrumored backwards compatibility isn’t far off.
What do you think Gamesided readers? Is the apparent glut ofTalesgames coming out this year too much, or do you want as much as Namco will put out? Let us know in the comments below!
