From a KTVU news report with Visual Concepts’ Jeff Thomas, you can use the Xbox Kinect of the PlayStation Camera to scan your face in. Mr. Thomas says the process would take about 3 minutes to scan in your entire face. In the proof of concept video shown in the report, you can see that the camera scans in not only your eyes, nose, and mouth, but also, the hair around your face.
This is a feature many have been asking for in previous versions of the game as we’ve had camera technology around games for some time, but it seems NBA 2K15 is harnessing the power of the PS4 and Xbox One to create these lifelike avatars. I can’t wait to continue hearing more about new features available in the PS4 and Xbox One versions of NBA 2K15.
NBA 2K15 will be available at digitally and at retail on October 7, 2014 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
