RUMOUR: Grand Theft Auto 5 Remaster Delayed To 2015

Lots of games are being delayed until next year. Good thing we have all those remasters, huh? Those are pretty easy to port so there’s no real reason any of them should be hit by a massive delay, right? Not so fast.

VG24/7 is reporting that there is plenty of talk that the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto 5 will not make it out in the Fall of 2014 as originally planned, sighting “chatter from Gamescom of a next-gen slip”.

Granted, Grand Theft Auto is like few other franchises where you can pretty much release it whenever and players will flock to it, so I don’t think if a delay happens it will massively affect overall sales. I do feel like a delay til next year is missing on an opportunity to capitalize on a somewhat barren holiday season for the PS4 & The Xbox One with neither system having many games that you can’t just buy on previous generation consoles.
