Looks like Sackboy and his new friends won’t be committing a total leap to the PS4. According to the game community coordinator of LittleBigPlanet 3, in response to an inquiry on Twitter, has stated that the platforming title will also see a return on the PS3
@CRASHER360_LBP Yes, it will be available on PS3 too.

We cannot see exactly what the Twitter user said to prompt this response (due to his account being set to “Protected Tweets”), however it seems clear that the game will also be headed to the 80+ million install base that Sony wants to take advantage of, when it comes to sales.
With a game like LittleBigPlanet 3, one that has a very stylized sense of art direction, there isn’t as much of a demand when it comes to programming and engineering the graphics engine of consoles like the PS4 and PS3. Whereas in other games, where spending time to port games to multiple platforms takes away from improving visual quality for the newest-gen consoles like the Xbox One and the PS4, the cartoonish sensibilities don’t create as much of a demand in the graphics department. Development should be all about ways to improve gameplay, as well as providing level-editing options.
LittleBigPlanet 3 will be released on the PS4 during November this year. With very little details provided about the PS3 version, all unannounced in an official capacity, the release date of that version is to be announced.
