Sports game fans are about to have an excellent Labor Day Weekend

I've got a real first-world problem to talk about. I have barely had enough time to play all the incredible sports games I'm getting to write about as GameSided's site expert. There is so much happening in our corner of the gaming world right now.

College Football 25 is back after 11 years, and it's even more than I and the fans who kept playing NCAA Football 14 for the past decade could have imagined. It is the essence of college football drilled down and distilled into a digital package as well as it has ever been done. Were there problems? Certainly, we're two major patches in and EA is still cleaning things up. But where it counts? This is as much fun as I've ever had playing a sports game.

Madden NFL 25 had a huge task on its hands trying to measure to CFB 25. It doesn't get all the way there, as I mentioned in my review. Defense is a mighty struggle, but it's a struggle I'm loving the game enough to figure out. Madden Ultimate Team is like the mafia: every time I'm out...

WWE 2K24 has been excellent. The combat flows well, the roster is epic - mostly. You have to have a really good game to be able to cram in an entire DLC's worth of wrestlers nobody wants and somehow maintain your player base.

MLB The Show 24 may have been the biggest casualty of how much time I've had to devote to football recently. But this latest season looks very intriguing. I will somehow carve out some time to play it.

Coming soon are NHL 25, NBA 2K25, and FC 25 which we all knew about. Earlier this month we learned we're getting a Quidditch game, and that it will be free on day one for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

We're in the middle of a historic time for gaming, and I couldn't be more excited. I'm glad to share it with our readers as well. I hope to see some of you on the virtual gridiron this holiday weekend.
