Try Out Uncharted 4’s Multiplayer This Weekend
Uncharted fans will get another chance to try out the multiplayer mode of Uncharted 4 this weekend in the form of a stress test.
After a successful multiplayer beta weekend last December, Naughty Dog is back again with an opportunity for the public to try out the multiplayer aspect of the upcoming Uncharted 4. A multiplayer stress test announced today will span this coming weekend, allowing anyone with a PS4 (no PlayStation Plus required) to try out the game mode.
The stress test runs from 9am PT on March 4, 2016 to 11:59 PM PT on March 6, 2016. It will be available for preloading on the PlayStation STore later today, allowing you to jump right in as soon as the servers are up on Friday. Given that this is a stress test, remember that the quality of the connection may be spotty, and certain aspects may not be exactly as they will be in the final version of the game. The goal is to stress the servers as much as possible, so some outages may be expected.
If you would rather watch than play, Naughty Dog’s Twitch channel will stream gameplay at various points over the weekend. You can also look at an overview of the Stress Test features and how to play on the official website. If you’re only used to the single player aspect of Uncharted, looking over the features might help–the multiplayer aspect is significantly different in approach, abilities, and goals.
Uncharted 4 releases in North America on April 26, 2016, in most of Europe on April 27, and in the UK on April 29th. A new trailer for the game dropped recently, and it’s gorgeous.
