Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Rated in Brazil

facebooktwitterreddit

It’s been a long time since we’ve heard much about Gears of War since Microsoft acquired the rights to the series, but it appears the rumored remaster is truly in the works as the Brazilian Advisory Rating Board just rated Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.

The rumor is that U.K.-based developer Splash Damage is working on an updated rerelease for the Xbox One, but details – like if this title might contain all four of the previous entries in the series or if it’s only a remaster of the first – are scarce. The title suggests, though, that it’s likely just the first. I would love to be able to revisit the entire series in one fell swoop, but I’m fine with the idea of them being released separately as long as any remasters don’t get in the way of the development of a true new entry in the Gears of War universe.

With E3 only a little more than a month away, we likely won’t get an official announcement until then.
