It’s been a long time since we’ve heard much aboutGears of WarsinceMicrosoft acquired the rights to the series, but it appears the rumored remaster is truly in the works as theBrazilian Advisory Rating Board just ratedGears of War: Ultimate Edition.
Therumoris that U.K.-based developer Splash Damage is working on an updated rerelease for the Xbox One, but details – like if this title might contain all four of the previous entries in the series or if it’s only a remaster of the first – are scarce. The title suggests, though, that it’s likely just the first. I would love to be able to revisit the entire series in one fell swoop, but I’m fine with the idea of them being released separately as long as any remasters don’t get in the way of the development of a true new entry in theGears of Waruniverse.
With E3 only a little more than a month away, we likely won’t get an official announcement until then.
