Jacksonville managed to keep this game scoreless until just before halftime. Once San Diego scored, the floodgates opened and the Chargers ran away with a blowout.
Jacksonville did a good job of running the ball early in the game. Once they fell behind and had to start throwing it, that’s when the trouble started. Quarterback Chad Henne threw five interceptions before being benched for rookie Blake Bortles.
San Diego quarterback Phillip Rivers threw for only 184 yards. That was mostly because continuously getting a short field to work with from Jacksonville turnovers than any sort of poor play on his part.
