Ike Confirmed For Upcoming Super Smash Bros Title

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance protagonist and totally-not-Marth, Ike, will be making his return to the arcade fighting game realm in the upcoming edition of Super Smash Bros for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. He was revealed on Nintendo’s Smash page as the most recent character added to the roster, bringing the total list of characters up to 30.

With such a round number of Super Smash Bros characters on the roster, do we now have a solidified list? While game director Masahiro Sakurai always has something up his sleeve, we will see the inaugural E3 Super Smash Bros Invitational tournament in just a few weeks. It makes sense to get out all the characters ahead of time, seeing as we will see the full list as players choose their combatants on stage anyway. That doesn’t mean there isn’t any surprises left in the tank.

Regardless, Ike will look to bring his counters, his sword and (hopefully) his drive on the way up to top of the tier list in the upcoming Super Smash Bros entry, when it is released on the Nintendo 3DS this summer and on the Wii U later this winter.
