GOG Spring Insomnia Sale 2014 Is Live
This sale is already over. Blink and you miss it!
GOG likes to change things up when it comes to their sales. Sometimes they like to have numbers-oriented sales, in which purchases and votes can positively and negatively impact a sale’s active timer. Today they’re bringing back a sale they pulled off in the fall last year. The GOG Spring Insomnia Sale will see 100 games go on sale of up to 90% off in VERY limited quantities. Some games will even pop up as free, from time to time.
That’s right, GOG is playing the role of a higher power by dangling sales for very limited times (based on their popularity). For example, GOG put up a sale of FTL: Advanced Edition for $3.39 for the first 350 buyers. That may be the cheapest the game’s been on sale anywhere since the update has been added. It lasted all of two minutes, before the Spring Insomnia Sale went on to the next game.
It’s obvious that Good Old Games’ goal to get people to keep a tab open all day and night, having fans eye an awesome sale on a DRM-free PC game for hours on end. With titles like Papers, Please, Duke Nukem and others making appearances so far, it might be worth checking out for yourself.
