Smash Bros Nintendo Direct: Trophy Assist Characters Revealed

During today’s Smash Bros Nintendo Direct stream, Nintendo and game director Masahiro Sakurai revealed a myriad of the old and new assist trophies coming to the upcoming Super Smash Bros game, heading for the 3DS this summer and the Wii U this winter.

Of the assist trophies revealed were: Andross, Devil, Knuckle Joe, Saki Amamiya, Lyn, Nintendog (pictured above), Waluigi, Dr. Wright, Skull Kid, Mother Brain, Midna, Ashley, Dark Samus, Chain Chomp, Isabelle, Elec Man and Color TV-Game 15, who was shown playing Pong. They look to bring a sense of variety to co-operative and competitive (non-tourney) play that expands upon what was offered in Super Smash Bros Brawl.
