GameSided Top 10 Games Of 2013 | Daniel’s Picks
1. The Last of Us
Wow.
That could justifiably be all I could say about 2013’s best game of the year, but The Last of Us deserves its praise. The emotional roller coaster brought together by Joel and Ellie is unparalleled in gaming this past year. The dark, maniacal world was contrasted by gorgeous greenery within the rundown US cities. Whereas other games that have you killing hundreds of people indiscriminately, the necessity of survival removes the accusations of ludonarrative dissonance. The dialogue was memorable, the story was brilliant, the voice acting; phenomenal.
Beside a necessary shattering of illusion when it comes to enemy AI sighting friendly AI, Naughty Dog made the perfect interactive experience in The Last of Us. With that, it is also my top game in 2013.
