Killer Instinct Officially Confirms Fulgore As Season 1 Character (Video)

While it may have been revealed accidentally some weeks ago when looking at the official pin collection, the team at Double Helix and Microsoft have officially confirmed that Fulgore will be the 8th and final Season 1 character for Xbox One launch title Killer Instinct.

As the launch trailer suggests, he will be added to the roster sometime in March. Previously-confirmed character Spinal will also become playable in January. You can download the game for free at launch, but it only comes with one roaming character. The basic “Combo Breaker Pack” will be a $19.99 download and will unlock the rest of the characters, with the advanced “Ultra Edition Pack” also including alternate costumes and in-game accessories.

I have already given my thoughts on Killer Instinct after playing it numerous times last week, and pre-launch it is my most anticipated title. However, learning that Fulgore comes in March means that it will also mark the inclusion of Arcade Mode. 4 months is a long time to wait for what is essentially a key factor of gameplay, so it is up to you whether or not you want to jump in to full price at the moment.

Regardless, Killer Instinct comes as a download exclusively for the Xbox One when the system launches worldwide tomorrow, November 22nd. Here’s the launch trailer below.
