SOE Live 2014 Announced For August 14-17 In Las Vegas

Not that I need an excuse to go to Las Vegas, a.k.a. Sin City, a.k.a. my favorite place in the world, but if I did, I’d quite possibly think about booking a trip for next August 14 through 17.

That’s when SOE Live comes to town again, spreading the gospel of all of SOE’s online games from Planet Hollywood & Casino. Next year’s event is a big one for two reasons: not only is it the show’s 15th anniversary, it will also undoubtedly be the source of lots of new information on the highly anticipated “EverQuest Next” MMORPG.

Of course there will be plenty of love for the current SOE lineup as well, including “DC Universe Online,” “Dragon’s Prophet,” and “PlanetSide 2.” The full schedule of events hasn’t been revealed yet, but you can be sure it will feature tournaments, panels with the devs, special guests, cosplay, and a host of in-game items and other swag to be given out.

Tickets will go on sale in the spring, but children under 12 can attend SOE Live free with a paying adult. There are special hotel rates available at Planet Hollywood the week of the event, or you can try using my player’s card points to get a free room—though I should warn you, I haven’t made any donations to the table games drop on the Vegas strip for a while.
