Undisputed working on fix for power punches and disconnect issues

New boxing effort Undisputed is now live, and two big issues are ruining the online experience for many players. Power punches are well, overpowered, and spamming them has become one of the most common tactics online. Hey, most people are going to do the thing that helps them win.

Also, it's possible to completely disconnect from the game and not get credited with a loss. So you know what sore losers are doing right now. On the game's X account, it has discussed the power punches.

The punches, I suspect, will get fixed first. So many of the games I play, including Madden, have issues figuring out a disconnect situation. It sucks, especially since glitchers abuse the issues. But people who are determined to cheat often turn it into a full-time job.

Undisputed reviews have not been kind, hovering at a 71 on Metacritic. But boxing fans hungry for a new game are hoping Steel City Interactive can succeed here. To their credit, it sounds like this is a game that will receive regular updates as opposed to releasing a full title every year or two.

Since Undisputed is basically alone in this space, fighting aficionados (including me) want this project to work. The communication is a good start, at least.

Undisputed is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. If you have fond memories of games such as Punch-Out and Fight Night, you may want to pick this one up. GameSided will keep you posted on the power punch issue, the disconnect problems, and any other developments with this contender.
