Best Xbox One Games List – #42 OlliOlli
Developer: Roll7

Xbox One Release Date: March 6, 2015
Skateboarding is so complicated that even transferring its difficulty in real life to a 2D game still bears complexity. Such is the case with OlliOlli, originally a PS Vita Indie title that started making its way through the home console cycle more than a year after it first launched. Each course runs mostly on a simple decline, with ramps, rails and jumps to navigate on your board. Doing flips, nailing grinds and even landing safely on your board when hitting the ground (inputting a button upon contact with the flat ground) are all required to keep a gnarly score and a tight score multiplier going.
With the Xbox One, the simple sprite animation doesn’t convert too well on bigger screen. The improvements that come with inputting maneuvers with the Xbox One analog sticks, however, are more than tangible. What’s most important is that you keep your flow going and bring style to your speed. It’s a shame that the detailed background layers become secondary when players focus on the foreground, as still present more fondly than the blur of intense action ahead of you.
