Taking place over hundreds of years, you take control of a commander leading a battalion of troops from different melee and ranged classes. You act as the main line of defense against the Cadence, the monstrous creatures trying to overtake the kingdom and the Massive Chalice, itself. Removed of an Overwatch system, you move your troops similar to that of an XCOM grid, opening up the fog of war as your breach the enemy’s eyesight. The randomness of map generation keeps combat fresh and has players really keeping on their toes, and it makes for an interesting turn-based strategy system that brings something that Xbox One owners aren’t used to seeing.
