If you own a Nintendo Wii U, you likely have a copy of Nintendo Land lying around your home somewhere. It’s the perfect collection of minigames to launch a brand new console, especially one with a control scheme that includes the use of a tablet-like GamePad to play certain games.

Set in an amusement park, Nintendo Land brought asymmetrical play earlier than you would think for this generation. Whether it was teaming up as multi-colored Links and fighting enemies, co-operating in team-based missions for Metroid missions or becoming the next Captain Olimar, there was a ton to do as a team. Working against each other remains an option, but at the end of the day it’s having fun on a brand new console. Nintendo Land offers that in bunches.
