The Lego video games are known for adapting upon established IP’s from iconic films and books and parodying them through the Lego lens, but this is ridiculous. Lego Dimensions crafts a story through gameplay from 14 different franchises, including the Lego movie, The Simpsons, Back to the Future, Jurassic World, Portal, Lord of the Rings, Batman, Doctor Who, Ghostbusters and more. Some franchises will even be added in as post-launch DLC.

The voice cast for Lego Dimensions is insane, with most characters having their roles reprised by the original actors. The game’s villain is even voiced by Gary Oldman, who, as Lord Vortech, hopes to mold the multiverses into one to obtain complete control of all known property. You need to team up with as many friends from as many universes as possible to defeat him, which proves to be a humorous, charming and difficult task. It’s fun for the whole family, something near and dear to the idea of a Nintendo video game.
