Sports game fans, we are living the dream right now. Every day it seems like a new, incredibly good sports title is dropping. Tennis might get neglected, and it shouldn't. To help celebrate the US Open and all the tennis excitement in the air right now, Top Spin 2K25 is free-to-play on both Xbox and PlayStation right now.
Top Spin will be part of Xbox's Free Play Days through Sept. 8 at 11:59 p.m. PT. This will allow users of both Xbox Game Pass Core and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to get their serve on. Madden 25 is also available this weekend to coincide with the launch of the NFL season.
Top Spin is on sale in the Microsoft store for a whopping 40 percent off, so if you enjoy the game you can pick it up at a discount and retain all the in-game progress and achievements you've already unlocked.
This offering from 2K Sports features coaching from seven-time Grand Slam winner John McEnroe on tennis fundamentals in the Top Spin Academy. Career mode allows you to create your own my player and climb from an unknown to a champion.
Of course, when you're ready to handle the best players online, there's a robust multiplayer mode with ranked and unranked online matches, crossplay, and online challenges. Playable legends in the game include Carlos Alcaraz, Roger Federer, Steffi Graf, and Serena Williams.
The game currently has a Metacritic rating of 76, or "generally favorable." There's no price better than free so if you love tennis, step onto the court and give Top Spin 2K25 a shot.
