Corey Kluber was given an Awards Series card for his 2017 Cy Young season. Kluber had always been one of the best pitchers in the game. But this card took it to a new level and then some. Kluber was acquired in the same fashion as Kershaw in MLB 19, as he was an award once you reached level 50 award. For most players, this is by far the first card they think of when they see MLB The Show 20.

Kluber had over 100 hits/9 and K/9 at 103 and 105. He also had 93 BB/9 and 87 control, so he located it exactly where you wanted. His primary pitch was a sinker, the most meta pitch in the game, and this is what made the card so devastating. He may not have thrown it very hard, averaging just 93-94 MPH, but with 99 break, his sinker was extremely hard to hit. It also helped he had a cutter, another meta pitch, a slurve, and a change-up.
